ABOUT ME
My name is B.E. Rel. I’m a Colorado native and Air Force veteran who finds inspiration in nature and wonderfully written stories. Whether I’m snowboarding or reading with hot chocolate, I believe words can open new worlds. I hope to share that love with you. Please scroll down to explore my writing journey.
My Writing Style
My writing style reflects how I feel. What I know. It can range from humor to horror, from children's to adults, and everything in between. Some of my characters demonstrate the duality of man, the choice between good and evil, between positive and negative. Others just live without a care in the world.
I try to implement meaning and depth into my stories, as well as a personal aspect to each character. In fact, themes, the internal battles of the characters, and thought process interweave from novel to novel; for we are all human, and, therefore, we all possess many similarities as well as individual differences.
Some of my stories bridge the gap between literary and commercial fiction, blending character-driven narratives with fast-paced plots that vary in pace and depth. Some are just fun to write, and others are stories that I just have to get out of my system. Some are heavy and some are light, some are funny and some dark, some motivational and some depressing. I write what I feel, and I feel what I write.
All in all, I love creating, and I hope the people who read my books will fall in love with them too.
